Everything you need to know about getting your order, and sending something back if it's not right.
Cash on Delivery
Hide & Oak currently accepts Cash on Delivery as the only payment method. No card or bank details are collected on our website. When your order arrives, pay the courier directly in cash for the order total.
Shipping rates
Standard shipping is complimentary on all US orders over $150. Orders under $150 ship for a flat $8.95, plus a small Cash on Delivery handling fee applied at checkout.
- Standard (US): Free over $150, otherwise $8.95
- International: Calculated at checkout by destination
- Cash on Delivery handling fee: $4.99 per order
Delivery timeframes
Orders are packed and shipped from our Portland workshop within 1–2 business days. Once shipped, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking.
- US Standard: 3–6 business days
- International: 7–14 business days depending on destination and customs
Order tracking
A tracking link is emailed as soon as your order leaves our workshop. If tracking hasn't updated within 3 business days of shipping, contact us and we'll follow up with the carrier on your behalf.
International orders
We ship to more than 30 countries. Duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the recipient and are collected by the courier alongside the Cash on Delivery payment where applicable.
Returns process
Unused items in original condition with tags attached can be returned within 30 days of delivery. To start a return, email info@velvetcarry.com with your order number — we'll send instructions within one business day. Refunds are issued in the original form of payment.

Exchanges
Need a different color? Request an exchange the same way you'd request a return — mention the replacement item in your email and we'll ship it out as soon as we've confirmed the original is on its way back to us.
